1997 Old 88 power steering problem

Without warning the power steering failed while making a SLOW, sharp left turn. There was no fluid leak, no noise, no vibration- it just quit working. Checked the fluid, which looked a bit low according to the dip stick, and added some more fluid. Still no leaks but still no power steering. Where should I start?

i would guess the power steering pump went. its located on the belt routing
