I have a 96 Oldsmobile Acheiva with a 3.1 V-6 that starts and runs great when the cluster lights come on when the key is at the on position, but if the cluster lights (ABS, check engine, check oil...) don't come on when the key is turned to the on position the car starts but will only run for 1-2 seconds and dies. I don't think its in the ignition because the heater fan and radio turns on when at the on position. I have tried to reset the computer by disconnecting the battery and have checked all the fuses. The fuel pump and injectors seem fine. I was able to turn the key on and off until the cluster lights came on, but that doesn't seem to work anymore. Any suggestions?
