1993 Other Oldsmobile Models 6 cyl

My sister has a 1993 olds cutlass ciera she just recently replaced the power steering pump and pully. after installing the new parts she started the vehicle and it began to knock. she ten pelaced the belt tensioner thinking that was part of the problem. However it continued to knock. she said it knocked louder at idle than when excelarating. She is now stumped and does not know why replaceing the power steering pump would cause such a problem. any sugestions.
