I have a 1991 olds wagon with a 305 msd distributor.
The car started normal and ran about 2 to 3 seconds,then it stalled.When I tried to restart it,it rolled over hard like it jumped time.I changed the cap and rotor,it made no difference.Due to the mileage I tore the front off and checked the timing chain.The chain was baddly worn,but did not jump time.Iput a new timing chain and gears in.This made no differnce.
I am getting spark and fuel,but it will not run.It sounds like I am getting pre-ignition.Can you give me some things to check?How can I test the ECM?The spark is not in time.Thank You
