I have a 1991 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo, with automatic transmission. While driving from work one day, suddenly I began decellerating slowly. basically, the car was coasting while in drive. while in drive the car will get to 30 or 40 mph, and will go no faster, it is acting like it will not shift out of 2nd gear. while checking the in dash code readout, it says i have an e.c.m. problem, and an egr problem, I was wondering if either could cause this particular vehicle to not shift correctly. I never had this problem, or any indications of it beforehand. I thank you for any help you can give me.
