1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue HARD KNOCKING

I was driving, idled for 10 minutes, start back driving, engine began to knock real hard. I checked the oil and trans fluid. All was well. What else could it be if it's not the fluid. I have 182,000 miles on that engine.
