1995 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Turn signal switch was broken off

1995 Oldsmobile Delta 88 6 cyl 150000 miles

My turn signal switch which has the cruise control and wipers included was broken off by someone entering the vehicle and breaking it with their knee....what part will I need and will the steering wheel have to be pulled? Should I go to an auto body shop for repair? I need answers to these questions to proceed

Is there still a piece of the steel rod stuck in the wiper switch? Sometimes it is possible to carefully drill and use a small self-tapping screw to pull it out. Otherwise, you need to disassemble the column enough to get to the back of the wiper switch, and tap it out from the rear.
