i had my car battery replaced and when i left the garage i noticed that my gas gauge was at Empty. I had 3/4 tank when i pulled in to the shop. We confirmed that the tank is now full, but the needle does not move and it even went in reverse - below Empty. Is this repairable?? Or should I just try to keep track of the gas usage?? Thanks very much!!

This is repairable but I suspect we have a fuse issue so let's start by checking the fuses and here is a guide that will help with this:

Basically, the way this works is the fuel tank sends the signal to the BCM and then the BCM sends this to the cluster to display.

So, we need to go to the BCM and find out if the signal and return is accurate by checking the voltage on each wire.

I am attaching the info below and let us know what you find with this, and we can go from there.

Thanks
