Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

is it difficult to change this bearing yourself
do you need special tools? it is starting to make a terrible noise and i am worried it is going to come off

The bearing can be difficult to replace on this vehicle. If you choose to do it, purchase a good repair manual that has step by step instructions and pictures to identify parts. Because of the process, there is too much room for error for me to explain it via the net.
