1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass 6 cyl Automatic
my car broke down about a week ago. I went to start it up and it wouldn't turn over. I thought that the starter went out. I had the starter checked it turned out not to be the problem. I then thought it was the computer chip on the key. I had a locksmith come out and he cut 16 different keys. Not the key. The next thing I did was bought a new computer. Installed the computer, still not working. When you turn the car over the security light flashes. Now I'm being told its the ignition switch. Thats going to cost about $100 to replace. Could it be the ignition switch that's causing the car not to start up? I paid $3100 an Ive only had it for 8months and I've already put close to $1500 into. Is the car worth keeping or should I sell it?
