I have two fans that cool the engine. One, before I bought the car, seem to either be replaced or rewired
It now is controlled by a toggle switch, which is attached to my dash. This fan is on the right side, facing the car. The other fan must still be wired into the ignition. Normally when I shut off the car both fans will stop regardless if I turn the toggle off for the one fan. Yesterday I went to start my car and it was completly dead, I recevied a jump. As soon as power was applied, the fans came on without the car being started. The fans must have kept going even after the car was off. I cut the power to the fan that was still wired into the ignition. I'm going to wire it into the toggle switch. This morning when I went to start the car, it only had enough power to activate the excessories. After another jump I could use it. I would like to know if the fan wired to the ignition would still pull power even though I cut the connection to the fan? Is there a fuse I can pull to stop this drain? Could this also be a sign of a problem with a sensor that would control the fan? Thank you
