The power window was down on driver side and now it's not working, can not have it come up. Already opened the panel, I can see the regulator and window motor. I reveiwed existing answers on the power window issue and steps. I perform the following test at the switch, use voltage meter with key in accessory mode, pressed window switch (up and down) and I do get reading from meter. I believed the switch is functional. I do not hear any sound from motor when switch is depressed. My assumption is, motor is the issue.
I attemped to remove the motor, but looks like it's attached to the regulator. I'm not certain how many bolts were attached to the regulator itself and concern starting removing bolts and may not be able to put it back later. Can you provide some guidenance and suggestions for the following:
(1) Do you think motor is the issue, or another way to determine?
(2) If I need to remove the motor, do I need to remove the regulator? I attached pic of the situtation.
(3) I tried to manually raise the window but it doesn't want to move, was there a specific procedures to remove window?
(4) As a side question, how do one remove the switch panel from the lock attached to the rod?

Thanks all in advance.[img:8b564af137]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/188691_94oldscutlasspowerwindow_1.jpg[/img:8b564af137]

Before doing anything, did you check to see if there is power at the motor?

Can't tell because I need to take out the motor in order to get to the plug But I assumed it does. Have thesame power window issue on the passenger as well as the right rear window. So it's 3 out 4. :-(

I hate to say it, but you need to check. There could be a break in the wire going to the motor, the switch could drop power when a load is placed on it... Also, if there is power to the motor, then the motor is bad.
