1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Olsmobile intake

I am trying to find out how to put on a preformance air intake kit, preferably a cold air intake. The problem is so much junk is in the way, so im having problems figuring out how to position it. Any ideas even if they are silly, i am happy to listen.
