How do you remove the convertible top switch from the dash. It appears that there is a bezel that comes out first and then the switch itself has 2 screws that hold it in. Do you just pry the bezel out with a small flat head screwdriver or are there clips or something else holding it in place that are on the inside of the dash? Also, I do not see a fuse for the convertible top in the fuse panel, and I do not have the owner's manual. Where is the fuse for the convertible top? I think the top switch got stuck in the up position the last time I used the car, and now it won't work. If this did happen, is it more likely that I burned a fuse out, burned the switch out, or ruined the top motor? Thanks.

the bezel may pop out or you may have to take the whole dash cover around itoff, then remove the screws that hold the switch in. There is probably a circuit breaker for the top, not a fuse. It may be in the fuse block under pwr windows. It will look like a metal box in one of the fuse positions. It will probably be 25-30 amp. I have a wiring schematic here but it does not show convertible top. I am betting that it uses the same thing as a rear power window. There is a safety switch for that and that could be your problem as it will not allow the motor to work. If it's the same youwill have a an orange/black wire for power, a tan wire for opening and a light blue for closing. to check it, use a test light to see if the switch gets power then operate it moving the test light to each position. If you get no power at one of themthe switch is the problem. Your circuit breaker could be bad as well. then you'll have to go from there......or private message me and maybe i can help you further.
