1985 Oldsmobile Ciera 88000 miles

I guess its the hood release. The lever I pull to release my hood has broken off. Would I just need to replace that. Or would I need to replace the cable as well.

Welcome, some of the autostores have a universal hood release mechanism. You can take look, see what you think? I have used a pair of vice grips to grab the cable after the handle broke, eventually, the cable itself breaks.
