i checked fuel pressure with engine not runing switch on . it come up to 62 and about 2 sec when pump stoped runing the pressure drops quickly down to 0 . what could cause this?

Check the fuel pressure regulator could be leaking-Vortec or TBI ??

i think it is a vortec. how do you check regulator?

You have to open up the upper plenum to check-if the pax side is washed up-its leaking also check the nut kit
