what to check when 98 bravada has dead cylinder? pulled spark plug wire off distibtor and does not change sound of motor . the spark plug is firing

Verify spark with a spark tester. If you have strong spark, then you probably have a bad injector.
PS, you definitely don't have a V12. You have a 4.3 V6.

yes 4.3 it is geting spark. how do you replace injector?

The intake manifold has to come off. You might want to take a compression test before jumping to that conclusion.

They should mostly be over 150PSI but it would have to be well under 100 to cause a miss.

checked compression it was 40

Well, that is not good news. Probably a burnt valve or something like that but the heads are going to have to be removed and sent to a machine shop.
