I'm getting a low coolant level message but I'm having trouble removing the surge tank cap. Is there some trick I'm missing? I can turn it CCW about a 1/4 turn and it seems kinda loose at that point. I can't turn it more and I can't pull it off.

I've had the same message about once a year for the past 2 years. Just top it up with DEX COOL and a bit of water- follow the intstructions on the coolant bottle. The cap is a bit of a problem to remove but once you get it CCW as you day you have to apply a LOT of down pressure on the cap and then turn CCW some more. Believe me it's a tough nut to crack but be persistent!
I have a DIC "CHECK GAS CAP" problem. Do you know how to solve this one? See my post dated today.
