2001 Oldsmobile Aurora 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Old hose is disconnected, heat shield, off, clamps removed, etc., But with all the bends in the steel lines, how do I get it off the car...or more importantly how do I thread the new one in place? right now, the fiitng are facing the back of the car and the 180 degree ben is towards the front.

It's complicated to take a short cut because it is not enough room, but could you raise the vehicle enough to 5 feet? It may be possible to get your hands on the top to locate the treads. If not, the only way will be to disconnect the rack and pinion from the steering column, making sure that the steering is in lock position to avoid damage to the clock spring. Remove the steering gear mounting bolts. Disconnect the tie rod end and rotate the rack and pinion at 90-degree front to make the treads visible. Hope this help.
