we have 2001 olds aurora- we replaced the alternator and two days later it went out again with no other apparent symptoms.I heard of some problems now with this car and alternators going out regularly. Dont want to just keep replacing @$500 a pop. any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, it has the 4.0 v-8
