Heater problem

My heater is not blowing out hot air. I just had the heater knobs/panel replaced last year because the adjusters were not connecting. Now the heat is not blowing out hot air. Could there be a problem with the replacement or is this a new repair problem.
The heat starts out warm for a few seconds then starts blowing cold air
