my 01 alero has been having trouble with fuel pumps,,we have replaced the fuel pump 3 times since december of 2009 and it is now messed up again..what could be causing this to happen every couple months???

They have a known problem with the contacts at the wiring harness going into the fuel pump. Try either replacing the plug or tightening the contact by bending it with a small metal pick.
