Engine Cooling problem

My antifreeze leaks, but only while I'm driving, since there is no leak while the car is off.
I know because of the fact that the heater didn't work, so I had a eureka moment and noticed that there was no antifreeze when I had just put some in a week before.
Please help me figure out what can cause this, so I don't get ripped off at the mechanics?
