What are all the possible places oil can be leaking from my engine. Every time I go to a different car repair shop, they tell me something differnt. Sometimes they tell me the same parts I have already replaced. Like my O ring for my water pump and my water pump gasket and manifold gasket, all of which I just had replace last year. So where can oil leak from? Which gaskets? Can leak from your water pump gasket?

put a piece of cardboard under your car at night to see where it is leaking (close to front or back). could be from oil pan, rear seal, or many other places. you can also pressure wash engine (be careful though) to see where oil accumilates

Hello,

There are many different places oil can leak from and it can be difficult to find.
I would suggest if you want to try and find it yourself, go by your local auto parts store and get some Oil Dye and you will need a black light.
Before putting the dye in clean the engine.
Then put dye into the oil, run vehicle for 15 minutes or so. Turn vehicle off and with black light look all around engine till you see a floresent green dye.

And to answer the water pump question. the places it can leak are around some of the bolts. some of the bolts go into a oil jacket.

Hope this helps
