2000 Oldsmobile Alero heater wont work

My 2000 olds only blows heat when it is turned off for a while. Than it will blow heat for a couple of minutes than stops. Sometimes it doesn't work at all.

feel teh heater core hoses with the engien hot.

are they both hot? one hot? neither hot? both just warm?
