I never had a problem with the abs or traction system on the car-I just changed right front hub bearing and now the light comes on anytime from immediattly until up to 5 miles and stays on.

Either the sensor or the ring gear(reluctor) was damaged...the ring if hit even by accident can be de-magnetized, and stop working! If you have a DVOM, you can test which one is bad, unplug the sensor at the end of the wire near the top of the sensor, read OHMs, they should be about, 088-1400 ohms, now switch the meter to read volts,, spin the wheel, and you should get a voltage reading, it will vary depending how fast you spin! No OHMs, bad sensor, no Volts, bad ring gear!

Unfortunately I don't have access for the specs on your part, what I recommend, is have it scanned for ABS "C" codes, this seems to be the only way of checking it. If either one shows, since it's all integfral to the bearing, the whole part has to go! During the install did you hit it with a hammer?

I always have and did use a impact.-we just went to town and back and it gave no trouble. I scaned for codes and came up with nothing-I am not sure that my obd2 does abs though.

If you have a scanner from Actron, I don't think it does ABS, usually these type cast close to 1000.00!
