Six cylinder front wheel drive automatic 151,000 miles

my wiper blades quit working altogether, but they stopped in a up position so i pushed them down far as they would go. Three days later they came up half way an then tucked all the way down to the windscreen and i could not move them at all. the fact that they moved three days after they stopped working let me know it probably was not the fuse, right? so i had the motor replaced and at first he still could not get them to work. then all of a sudden he hit my brights and they started working, but twenty minutes after he was done i started the car and now they will not work again. can you please tell me what the problem could be? is it the relay switch? the control module?

If you hit the hi-beams and they worked, it is most likely the mulit-function switch (turn signal/hi-beam/wiper control). The wires can break where they enter the column or sometimes the switch just breaks internally. Try wiggling and moving the lever to see if you can make them work.

i tried to wiggle them and i tried to move around the cord. i jiggled the handle and i tried to to move everything in every position possible and nothing worked. what about the relay switch, or the control module? and which switch is it that you know of that controls the high beams , wipers etc.?

If you pull the turn signal lever back it flashes hi-beams, same lever that works the wipers . You mentioned that they worked when you hit the hi-beams, so I was headed in that direction.

Get a test light and see if you have power at any of the wires on the wiper motor when it is turned on.

If the motor is running and the wipers are not moving, you need to remove the cowl at the bottom of the windshield. Chances are the linkage has come apart and needs repaired.

Automatic 247000 miles

My two low beam headlights do not work, but every other light in the car works and my windshield wipers do not work either. I have replaced the bulbs and they still do not come on.

Automatic

While I was driving the windshield wipers, the radio and the lights stop working. I changed out the battery and tested the alternator and after letting it sit for a while now it will not even turn over.
