First Question: Do I need a Full Car Jack Or Pit to do this job?
Or Can I use those drive up jacks for two wheels? On Cement of course.
Reason I ask is that I'm a large man I will need space to get under this car. I have good reach but if connection is very hard to get to using wheel jacks I'll have to pay the shop 375 dollars to do 15 mins work!
Second Question: Are there parts or many parts to remove to get to the connection location? I know the Pos goes thru firewall. Is it hard to push or pull new cable thru?
Third Question: Any special tools required for this job. I have hundreds of repair tools commonly used.
Fourth Question: is there any way to cut off the end of a positive cable to some how attach new connectors? It's a solid piece it's covered in plastic.
Fifth Question: Also need to replace negative cable Any drawings or sketches hints or tricks to these repairs appreciated.
So far have been chased around service sites I was told to remove old one and then reverse the work.
Again I need to know how hard what's needed to do this Before I Jump Into The Repairs.
