My 3800 V6 is missing on 2 cylinders/plug wires. I get no spark from the "top" two contacts on the electronic "distributor". How can I determine if this can be rectified by replacement of the upper part i.e. ignition coil(s) or if it could be related to the ignition module itself that the coil screws onto?
Is there a probability that this could the ignition coil which is a much cheaper part($30-50), or should I opt to pay for an engine analysis and much more $$?
