I have a 1988 oldsmobile delta 88. I need to replace the fuel pump. I am give the choice of a 2" or 1.45" replacement kit. How do I know which one is the correct one for my car without taking the gas tank off first and taking it with me to the parts store?

If you provide the VIN number to a dealer, they should be able to tell you. Other than that, you need to remove it and take it in with you.
