I've been searching online for sometime now and i cant seem to find the location of the oil pressure switch. Could somebody please help me with this ? Its an 2012 Jetta (A6). The car has been blinking the oil pressure warning (red), but i've still been driving it for over 3months now. The car runs the same as always, so i thought maybe its the oil pressure switch? The oil pressure stays steady at 90, but i cant think of anything else that might be the problem. Warning light only comes when the engine has been sitting for a while, 8hrs maybe. And it only comes in the start of the drive, and goes away in few minutes, and doesnt come for the rest of the day anymore.

Yep good call, it sounds like the oil pressure sensor is bad, here is the location so you can swap it out, you may need a special socket to remove it BTW. The sensor is near the oil filter. Can you please doble check the engine size, also is this a euro car?

Thanks for letting me know, it is described as being under/behind the intake manifold area. Use a flashlight to inspect and let me know.

Got the pressure switch replaced yesterday. Fairly easy job, just needed a longer socket to tighten the switch in place. It was located at under some pipes on the right side of the engine. Only found it trough the single wire that was plugged in. Didnt need to go under the car. Thanks for the help!
