Purchased oil pressure sensor socket it fits the new sensor, but it doesn’t fit the original in car. What do I need to get it off, it is bigger?

Hello,
First of you have listed the vehicle as a 2006 Challenger (Dodge did not make the Challenger in 2006, so I am assuming it is a 2006 Charger?).
Those 5.7 the sensor should need a 1-1/16-inch oil sensor socket.
Is that the size you got?
Are you able to get a wrench on the sensor?
I have attached diagrams for your reference.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

Yes, it’s a Charger, the 1-1/16 fits the new sensor but the old sensor on car is bigger some reason.

That is strange. Are able to use a wrench or the space is too tight?
