Fluctuating oil pressure gauge

My oil pressure gauge when I crank up and drive goes from 80 to 0 then the alarm comes on then jumps back up and back down again. keeps doing that. my engine is running normal and my oil is good what could be the problem?

Can you please confirm your engine size? There is no 5.6L motor for that vehicle. Thank you

That's okay. It sounds like the oil pressure sending unit has failed.

See diagram below for location. To change it simply unplug the connector, unscrew it, screw new one in and replace the plug.

It is #1 in the diagram.
