Is my pressure relief valve stuck? can I unstick it without pulling the engine?

Hi,

That is really high. Are you basing that on the gauge in the vehicle or have you checked it with a mechanical oil pressure gauge to confirm? I ask because if the pressure is that high, the pump needs to be replaced. System pressure is limited by an integral, internally-vented relief valve which directs the bypassed oil back to the inlet side of the oil pump.

Let me know. If I recall, it can be replaced without removing the engine, but because of it's location, you need to remove the timing chains. Take a look at the attached pic. I circled the pump. From the pump is a tube that goes to the oil pan.

Let me know.

Hi,

No. It is internal in the pump. The pump will need to be replaced. You can replace the pump in the vehicle, but it's tight.
