This may not be the problem, but I think it is. I was driving seventy on the highway last night when something popped and smoke came from my hood. I pulled over and all of my oil was leaking everywhere. I noticed I had accidentally been driving in second gear instead of Drive. I had to get my car towed . I am wondering if maybe I busted my oil pan from straining my engine in second gear so much, or something?

try to see if fluid is red or engine oil. if engine will start probably not the engine, but a broken transmission line to radiator.

The fluid is an olive, honey type of color. I do not necessarily want to try turning the car on, since I do not have any oil, I do not want to damage any parts. I did turn it on once though for a few seconds to see if it still works and it started after a few "di-zi-zi-zi"'s. From what I see the transmission still works, since I had to put it in neutral to get off the tow then park. I am getting it checked in the morning, but just came here to brace myself for any horrible damages they might tell me.

well if you check engine oil and it is full then that would eliminate that as well as power steering fluid. transmission may work but you cannot check it due to no dipstick.
