I just bought this vehicle from a Chevrolet dealer and drove it about two weeks and it said low oil when I was pulling a s10 Chevrolet truck about ten miles. So I added oil drove for about another week or so and said low oil again. So I parked it in the garage and noticed oil spots on the ground. What could cause this and what would it cost to fix? Also, I had a friend tell me he saw blue smoke when I started it up. I have not had a chance to see the blue smoke.

Good evening,

Do you have any idea where the oil leak is located or the area? There are so many places oil can leak.

What would really help us id if you could take some pictures and upload them to this post so we can see it and further help you.

Check the oil filter and see if it is tight and that it does not have a double gasket. Common issue.

When they change the oil there are times the old gasket from the oil filter sticks to the housing and when the new one is installed, it doubles and leaks.

The oil pan is around there as well.

Can you post some pictures?

That is your leak at the oil filter.

Spray that down with a can of brake kleen. Then run the engine and watch for the leak so you can pin point it.

So you think it could be because it has a double gasket?

That is correct but you must inspect to be sure.
