Oil Gage Problems

I have a 1995 dodge 2500 and i just got the oil changed about a week ago and starting today my oil gage has been acting funny by dropping all the way to the red and then going back up a little bit, my truck also started shaking bad at one part of the day but then it stopped about 7 seconds after

Defective oil pressure sending units was a real common problem in the '90s. The common symptom was dropping gauge readings at idle but the "Check Gauges" light did not turn on.

We prefer to check the actual oil pressure first with a mechanical gauge but since this was so common you may want to just replace the sending unit as a test.
