When replacing the oil cooler, do I have to get a new gasket, or can I use RTV sealant?

I believe you are referring to the oil cooler pipe. That is an O-Ring and needs to be replaced. If you use RTV, it will not last.

Take a look at the pic below. Is that what you are referring to?

Yes, it is. Do you know the part number or the diameter of the o ring? I don’t want to take off the oil cooler pipe, if I don’t have to.

I’m not sure which is the outlet (outer) side. I need the o ring that goes between the flange and the thermostat housing. Is this the right part?

Yes, that appears to be correct. When you install it, first lubricate it with coolant. Once you do that, then you can install it.
