Good afternoon,

I attached the instructions below and the pictures of what you should see for this procedure.

Roy

Change Oil Soon/Oil Change Required Message

Displayed when the engine oil life remaining is 5 % or less. When oil life left is between 5% and 0% the CHANGE OIL SOON message will be displayed. When oil life left reaches 0% the OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message will be displayed.

An oil change is required whenever indicated by the message center. USE ONLY RECOMMENDED ENGINE OILS.

To reset the oil monitoring system to 100% after each oil change [approximately 8000 km (5000 miles) or 180 days] perform the following:

imageOpen In New TabZoom/Print

1. Press the SETUP control to access the System Check function.

2. Press and release the RESET control to display OIL LIFE XX% HOLD RESET NEW.

3. Press and hold the RESET control for 2 seconds to display IF NEW OIL HOLD RESET.

4. Press and hold the RESET control to display OIL LIFE SET TO 100%. Your oil life is now reset.

I like said on my question; there is no reset button anywhere so don't say just hit reset. There is no reset button anywhere on the dash or anywhere on the van for that matter.

Here is how to reset the oil life indicator in your car (below)

Oil Life Reset:

NOTE:
The XXX's in the steps below represent a numeric value and displays the correct number in a percentage. For example, OIL LIFE = XXX% may display OIL LIFE = 45%.
Press and release the SETUP button until SYSTEM CHECK is displayed.
Press and release the SETUP button again to display OIL LIFE = XXX% HOLD RESET = NEW.
Press and hold the RESET button for 2 seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100%. "OIL LIFE SET TO 100%" is displayed.
Oil Life Start Value:

NOTE:
The oil life start value is used to reset the oil life value back to the maximum if the value was previously changed, or to lower the value by 10% increments down to 10%.
Press and release the SETUP button until SYSTEM CHECK is displayed.
Press and release the SETUP button again to display OIL LIFE = XXX% HOLD RESET = NEW.
Press and hold the RESET button for 2 seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100%.
Press and release the RESET button to lower the percentage by 10% (down to 10%) for each button press or return the value to 100%.
