Oil burning

Hello,

This could be a couple of things. If your engine is a overhead camshaft design then this could be the valve seals leaking oil into the combustion chamber and it getting burnt that way. Another way that oil could be getting introduced into your vehicle's combustion chambers is through the output shaft seal on your vehicle's turbo. If failing, this will allow oil from the gearbox into the volute where it will be compressed and enter the combustion chambers along with the compressed intake air. Please let us know what you are able to find out.

Hello, it's had a new turbo last week. So I am going to give a guess valve seals. If try to replace them.

It sounds like the new turbo is bad did it smoke before the last turbo went bad?

It did smoke before the new turbo was fitted. I've had the spark plugs out and they are covered in black carbon and not wet. I've also had the down pipe off again and see no oil in the exsausht the only oil I can see is in the intake pipe that connects to the throttle body.

Can you remove the exhaust side of the turbo to check the end play? Also see if there is oil present if there is the turbo is bad or you have a plugged oil return line from the turbo to the engine pan. Do you have any codes?

Hello, I don't have any engine codes present and when I checked for play in the turbo I couldn't feel any play in the turbo. But when I took the intake pipe off I do see oil where a breather hose connects on to.

Do you know if that cleaned replaced the oil return from the turbo to the engine? Do you see oil on the turbo veins?
