How many Oil control variable valve does the vehicle have?

Got a code to replace the OCV (Oil control variable?) valve. ) Getting low milage and poor acceleration).

Seeing that some engines have 1 OCV (intake) and some have 2 OCV (intake and exhaust).

Can't find an answer as to how many my engine has. Where located. Also, where do I find the screen so I can check/clean/replace?

Any help appreciated.

Your vehicle has two, one on the intake and one on the exhaust. If you look at the attachments below, they provide directions for the removal and replacement of them.

By chance, do you still know the code or codes that were retrieved? If you do, let me know what they are so I can narrow things down for you.

Checked but my friend cleared the scanner already. Just know it was to change out the oil variable control valve and what the part looked like.
Is it possible the code still in car computer after light reset? If so, any way to retrieve them?

Hi,

If he cleared them, they are gone. What I would suggest is to drive it a little to see if the check engine light turns back on. If there is a problem with the oil control valves, the light should turn back on.

Been driving back/forth to work, light has not come back on but still feels the same on acceleration.

As far as acceleration, how would you best describe it? Are there any noises from the engine? Also, have you checked to see if there are presently any pending codes?
