The previous owner had a GPS connected to the wiring of the one port I decided to remove it, in doing so the wires touched and since I forgot to remove the battery I'm guessing something shorted out. Now I have checked all the fuses inside and outside of the car. The check engine light is on and car continues to start.

Good morning,

I attached a wiring diagram for you to view. I circled the fuse that powers the connector. Check that fuse for power on both sides.

Thank you Roy for taking the time to respond to my question. I was able to resolve the the problem and looking at the diagram you provided it confirmed my guess. It wasn't when I finally noticed that the interior lights didn't turn on that I had found my problem. Just like the diagram shows it was a faulty 15 fuse for the courtesy lights. Problem solved. Thank.you again Roy for your time.
