OBD Code P1178, how do I fix this?

Have got this error code and was hoping someone might be able to advise me on how to fix it.

That code should be the bank 1 sensor 1 lamda sensor pump circuit shorted. Usually that means the heater circuit in the first O2 sensor has failed. Check the resistance between pins 1 and 2 of the sensor should be around 2-10 ohms and on the car side of the connector there should be 12v on pin 2. If you show 12 volts then the likely issue is the heater burned out and replacing the sensor will take care of the problem.
