It said idle air valve bad . So do I have to replace the ECM to?

before you make the repair pull the ECM cover off and if you see a burnt spot then it is fried and you need another which is rebuild able. however, they have to be programmed to your car for security and a mechanic has to do it. it is quite common on this car.
