Hiya,

My car had flagged n o2 sensor about a year ago; I had taken it to get fixed and they said they had fixed it. It then came back on, and I took it to be checked and they said o2 sensor again. So, then day before yesterday my car went in to have both o2 sensors replaced, light service and an MOT. Before the car went in, the car was still driving perfectly from start until finish. It was as if there were no issues whatsoever. Since having to back from mechanic, the car engine is chugging when I start it, and I cannot accelerate for about 5 minutes and then the engine sounds like it’s been reset and sounds normal again and the car can drive. The o2 sensor light has come back on with the code p0130.
I’ve been trying to search it up and think I’ve ruled a few things from MOT as it passed on everything.

Just to also note I have a Toyota aygo 2021 not a Yaris. The Argo doesn’t come up as an option weirdly.

So this problem will be for the front or primary oxygen sensor.

P0130 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1, Sensor 1)

This can be cause of the sensor being out of range due to an exhaust leak or a bad connection at the wiring or in some cases I have seen the ECU go out and throw this code nonstop. If there is no exhaust leak and the sensor is new, I would check the wiring which this guide can help with:

Also, make sure the shielding around the sensor wire is in good shape. Check out the images (below).
