Vehicle will not start

Hello I have a diesel NPR.
Changed the fuel filter and had a hard time priming. Lift pump was sucking air and leaked fuel. I was able to get it running by cranking over the engine. I let it run for a half hour sounded fine.
Next day would not start will cough a few times after twenty seconds of cranking but that’s about it.

Any ideas? Thanks for any help
