Good morning,
This model have several options for engines.
What motor do you currently have in the car?
You could have a 302, 351, 400, 429 or 460. All those were options in that year.
If you could post a picture of the engine compartment, that would help.

Hello my name is Dave.
If you can give us the VIN we can tell you what engine your car came with originally. The most common would be the 351 however the VIN doesn't distinguish between the Windsor and the Cleveland but there is a fast and easy way to tell the difference and that is where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine. If it attaches to the intake manifold it is a Windsor, if it is attached to the block it is a Cleveland. If you are ever told that it is a Modified that engine didn't come out until 74, if it had been replaced with a Modified they would have to have also changed the transmission because the Modified actually indicates the change to a big block transmission along with other minor changes.
