Not sure if timing is not right?

I thought the timing chain was broken because the engine was turning over real easy, which still does. I check the timing chain and it was good. I put everything back together, but the engine still turns over fast, but when I let go of the key that's when I get the spark. So I am not sure if I have the timing right. Any idea why the engine is turning over so fast? It's like the timing chain is broken.
