Not starting after replacing stereo with an aftermarket stereo

Hello,

When you say there is power to the relay do you mean both the control and power sides of the relay? It sounds to me like the relay is bad. I have included a link down below on how to test a relay.

The plug for the relay only has power to one side but if I put a jumper wire the pump comes on. but i did install a new relay and nothing changed could it possibly be the ECM? Could i have shorted something out when I changed the fuel pump? because I forgot to remove the fuel pump fuse before I changed it.

Have you checked the fuse supplying power back to the fuel pump? If you shorted out the power wire from the relay to the fuel pump then yes it would blow a fuse, that's what the system is designed to do. I have included two diagrams in the diagrams below. The first explains how a relay works. The other is the fuel pump relay circuit for your vehicle. See the light green wire that is going from fuse #30 to pin #2 on the relay. This wire has power only your vehicle is in run or start on the ignition switch.. The black/red wire coming from pin #1 of the relay is going to a ground. This is the control side of the relay. So when you power this side(run or start on ignition switch), it allows 7.5A of electrical current to energize the electro magnetic coil. When the coil is energized it pull the gate closed to make a circuit from pin #3 to pin #5. Pin #3 is fed from fuse #60, via the red/green wire, which is hot at all times. Pin #5 goes to the fuel pump(+) via the yellow/black wire. When the electro magnetic coil is not energized(ignition switch NOT in run or start) the gate will open, breaking the circuit to the fuel pump. Diagrams below.

Where is that 7.5 fuse located at? I can't seem to find it.

I have included a blown up diagram of the Under Dash Fuse Panel. This is where the fuel pump relay is located. You can find all the wires we discussed earlier there. It is called fuse block J/B.

That seems to be not blown. is there any way possible it could be my crankshaft position sensor?

I don't think so. We still aren't getting 12 volts at the fuel pump. Correct? We have to figure out why. Okay. Earlier you said the was power to the relay, it just wasn't getting past it. Do you have a multi-meter, and are you proficient with it? Here is a link to help if you are not:

Correct still no 12 volts at pump and yes I have a multi-meter.

Can you see what the voltage reading is at pin #2 and #3 of the fuel pump relay for me please. You will need to have your key in the run position for pin #2. Let me know what you find out please.

The light green wire has no power to it with key on.

Okay, the relay is not getting power to the electromagnet. Double check fuse #30 (7.5A) in fuse box J/B from the previous diagram. It is on the left side of the dashboard. Let me know what you find out please.

There is no fuse in the j/b fuse box marked for that. do you know what it would be called?

There is no 7.5A fuse in fuse box J/B in the left hand side of the instrument panel. Is there an empty slot for a fuse to go into?

No, I don't see any empty slots and I didn't see one. I checked all the 7.5 fuses and they all were good.

If there is no fuse in fuse box J/B then that is the problem. I am including two more diagrams for you in the diagrams below. Look them over. If you are still having difficulty follow the light green wire from the fuel pump relay back. It should lead to the fuse that more than likely is our culprit..
