Engine is noisy?

Thanks for the video, two things come to mind first it looks like the throttle bore needs to be serviced and the oil needs to be changed, can you confirm the engine oil services have been kept up with?

The oil has been kept up with frequent changes. The throttle body was cleaned when the spark plugs were changed about two weeks ago, and the noise still exists.

Can you please a video under the hood while the engine is running and the noise is present? I think you may have a camshaft actuator that is going out. Also what weight oil are you using?

Sorry it took so long, I have the video. I use 5W30 Full Synthetic. The video is a little loud, and the camera falls but the sound is very noticeable

O wow, yes stop driving the car if have not already, it sounds like you lost the timing chain guides or a camshaft actuator is gone, can you tell if the sound is coming from the top or bottom of the engine, front or rear? Here is an exploded view of the engine try to visualize it when you hear the noise to get a location so we can go from there. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you think.

Just now it sounded near the driver. Normally it sounds more mid, almost right in the middle of the engine. I have gone almost 20,000 miles with this noise already, it's only on startup that it makes the click, once it warms up a little, it sounds like a more studdered hum with a steady quick ticking noise near the front of the car.

Sounds like a timing chain/guide issue and you may be putting metal inside the engine which will shorten its life. Can you pill the dipstick and using a flashlight see if there are metal flakes? they will be very small btw, Let me know.

Sorry that it took so long to check, I have been out of town. It didn't look like there was any metal in the oil, but I did notice it was really dark already, and I got an oil change last month, about 1K miles ago. I was talking with a buddy of mine about the timing chain, and he said that it didn't sound like it since the sound goes away after warming up for about 30 seconds. Although it does die down quite a bit, it's still really rough sounding as it drives. Almost like a straight pipe, but coming from the engine. There are no engine codes coming from the car either. I don't think it's exhaust because I've checked so many times for smoke, or a smell.

We can try removing the serpentine belt and then start it to see if the noise is still there this will eliminate any accessory that maybe making the noise. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

I am sorry that it took me so long to reply. I took the belt off and the noise still continued. I can recall a while ago accidentally skipping an oil change, I don't think I went too far on it without the change, but the oil was well used and very dark. I'm not sure if that could have caused some damage inside the engine. The thing that gets me the most is that it's very loud on start and while it's cold, then once it's at the optimal temperature, the noise dies down to where it only picks up when I press the gas. It sounds like it's coming from inside the engine, almost the top of the engine. The spark plugs and oil are almost new, just about 3,000 miles each. No change of noise if the AC is running also.

With the engine running can you please take your phone and hold it over the engine toward the rear then move it toward the front of the engine and then down as far as you can in front (timing chain)? so I can get an idea of where the noise is coming from please.
